Cellarmaker Brand Manager Job Description

Cellarmaker Brewing Company of San Francisco and Oakland, California is looking for a person to help increase the presence of our brand. We are looking for a thoughtful, engaging and motivated person to manage our social media, develop POS materials and merchandise, aid in label art/creation and coordinate in house and community-based events and outreach. A key role will be to help increase the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion of Cellarmaker. The Brand Manager will spearhead development and execution of plans around growth, branding, brand awareness and affinity, and marketing and advertising opportunities. This is an Oakland based position but will start in San Francisco until our Oakland facility is operational (early 2023).

Responsibilities (for all Cellarmaker locations)

Social Media – The Brand Manager will be the main operator of Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and any other online platforms of communication with customers and followers and use these platforms to tell the Cellarmaker story and express our ideals. The Brand Manager will be the main creator of content including but not limited to creating copy and visuals (and the photographing of such), interacting with followed accounts, as well as responding to comments, questions and messages received on the platforms. 

Merchandising/POS – The Brand Manager will be responsible for helping to create new merchandise and point of sales materials. The Brand Manager will be the main point of contact for merchants and will see projects through to end product delivery.

Product Label Creation – The Brand Manager will supervise the creation of content for package labels and the printing of such labels. The Brand Manager will inventory in house labels and order low inventory in a manner that is price conscious for Cellarmaker.

Website and Newsletter – The Brand Manager will maintain an up to date website with current product info. The Brand Manager will send a weekly newsletter updating subscribers to the going-ons of Cellarmaker.

Events & Community Outreach – The Brand Manager will spearhead idea development and implementation of regularly scheduled in- and out-of-house events and community outreach. The Brand Manager will be the on-location main coordinator and point of contact for such events.

Marketing/Advertising – The Brand Manager will support programs that are integrated with sales and distribution partners to drive distribution and consumer sales. The Brand Manager will identify key advertising targets that are compatible with the Cellarmaker brand and develop positive relationships with the promoters and media representatives within these targets.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Strategy – The Brand Manager will aid in increasing D.E. & I. within Cellarmaker. The goal will be to further our efforts to hire, advance and retain underrepresented groups in the beer industry in order to reflect the demographics of the local bay area communities.

Job Requirements

-Must have experience with Instagram, Twitter and Facebook

-Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel

-Experience with photography a huge plus

-Previous experience with event coordination, marketing and/or advertising a plus


Full time; must be available to work nights and weekends for scheduled events. Overall schedule can be flexible and often self-determined
