Bourbon Blammo is the bourbon barrel aged version of our massive coconut imperial stout BLAMMO! For the 2023 release we blended five oak barrels: one stout aged for 26 months in a Heaven Hill Bourbon barrel; the second stout rested in a Blanton’s Bourbon barrel for 36 months; the third and fourth barrels were also Heaven Hill but this stout aged for 20 months. Finally about 10% barleywine was blended in after aging in a Willett Family Estate Bourbon barrel for 21 months. We then conditioned the blend on 35 lbs of organic toasted coconut per barrel. As always, it is ridiculous!
